Advance is an education service provider, established in 2003 by Kate Wood and Barbara Bayliss, who have more than 50 years of combined teaching experience. The company offers schools strategies and tools for their students to achieve their maximum potential at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 .

Since 2003, the company has seen an ever increasing demand from schools for its bespoke toolkits and for Kate and Barbara’s unique, collaborative way of working. Advance is delighted to be able to provide advice, support and teaching to many schools and local authorities in London, always with the clear objective of improving the performance of students, hundreds of whom have benefited from its collaborations.

Successes
We have worked closely with local authorities such as Haringey and Hackney to support their teachers and students in ensuring the success of their GCSE students. This work has ranged from training sessions to workshops for targeted groups of students to analyzing student performance in mock exams and tests. We are proud to have been asked back regularly to continue this work.
